Sneak Attack is a New Jersey heavy metal band formed in 1983 during the rise of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. The original lineup—vocalist Mac, guitarist Frank Curcio, bassist Frank Baron, and drummer Mark Mari quickly made their mark on the regional metal scene, ultimately landing three tracks on Megaforce Records’ "Born to Metalize" compilation alongside acts like Hades and Raven.

The band built momentum throughout the mid-1980s, sharing stages with Metallica, Anthrax, Mercyful Fate, Yngwie Malmsteen, and others. In 1985, guitarist Jon ILaw joined the group, helping expand their sound and live presence as Sneak Attack continued performing and recording demos before disbanding in 1990.

More than three decades later, following personal loss and renewed creative inspiration, founding members began reconnecting and revisiting the band’s catalog. With Jon returning and bassist Frank Baron rejoining after extensive discussion and reflection, Sneak Attack reformed to complete unfinished work and capture their original vision.

In 2025, the band entered Bandmother Studios in Jersey City with producer/engineer Mike Sabatini, recording nine tracks that span their entire history. Original guitarist Frank Curcio also returned to contribute to select material from his era with the band.

Now, over 40 years since their debut release, Sneak Attack has finally documented its full legacy bridging past and present with a sound rooted in classic heavy metal, renewed purpose, and unfinished business - finally brought to life.
